1978 Jeep CJ
Listing my 1978 CJ-7. It has a great powertrain combo: 4.2 liter inline 6, T-18 4 speed and Dana 20 transfer case. All stock with 75,000 original miles. Runs and drives great. Starts up easy every time hot or cold. Transmission shifts perfect in every gear. Drives straight down the road and stable at highway speeds. I daily drive the Jeep regularly. All the normal CJ issues have been addressed. Wiring and electrical has been gone through. All gauges work, lights and blinkers work, heater, vent, defrosters and wipers all work. 4WD works great. Runs very cool, never overheats even in 100 degree traffic. Extremely reliable. Zero rust on tub and frame. Original northern CA Jeep. It just past CA smog on 9/29 and runs flawlessly. New gas tank and filler neck. Just had a new clutch, radiator and catalytic converter installed. New front disc brakes and rear drum shoes. All fluids have been replaced. Always ran Rotella 15/40 in engine and has Amsoil fluids in transmission, transfer case and rear end. New 31” all terrain tires. Has full soft top and bikini top included. Has newer front and rear seats with 4 functioning seats belts. Comes with winch, winch controller and towbar. Title in hand and ready to go. Could drive anywhere reliably. Holds a salvage title due to a light rear end collision in late 90s when these Jeeps were not worth much so insurance totaled it. It was professionally repaired and has absolutely zero issues.
