Description:

1984 Jeep CJ

1984 Jeep CJ-7 Laredo.
Yes, the clock works :-)
And even the gas gauge works.
Original paint and decals.

Lots of original parts.
Almost no rust.
BFG AT Tires 33x12.50x15 maybe 2 years old. Almost no miles on them.
Laredo seats are partially original, partially reupholstered. Kept the original purse straps.
Original Engine was replaced with a remanufactured engine many years ago 4.2 L 258.
5-spd trans T-5.
Shocks replaced a couple years ago.
I'm pretty sure the steering box has been replaced but not the steering shaft.
15x8 Chrome Laredo Wheels from older model, don't have the Original 15x7 chrome wheels.
Runs pretty good. Starts the 1st or 2nd time. Takes a bit for the mechanical fuel pump to get the gas to the engine.I don't drive it enough to keep it running as smooth as it would if I drove it more.
New brake master cylinder.
New exhaust/muffler.
Battery replaced recently.
Starter replaced in the last few years.
New mechanical Fuel Pump a few months ago.
Aftermarket carb, needs minor adjustment to run even better than it does now.
Inside of the tub has rhino liner type material. Not sure what brand.
Floor pans appear to be original.
New sending unit in the gas tank and new fuel lines.
I'm pretty sure I'm the 3rd owner.
I have some maintenance history.
I don't have the original radio.
Has new seat belts. I have the original ones.
Warn X8000i winch on the front. I have the remote. Works fine as far as I know.
The soft top frame came with it when it was new I think. I have 1 pc soft doors that go with it. Also have an old but halfway decent soft top skin I haven't used. It has some tape patches but seems like it would keep you dry if needed. I've never used it.
Also has the half-cab skin if needed to stay dry. That works pretty good but I've only needed it once. I just never removed it.
Many more pictures available, video available. Let me know what you need. It's in Wilmington NC. You're welcome to come see it.
I'm pretty sure it was towed behind an RV in the midwest. Has stickers from places they visited. Probably ran the miles up on the Jeep while it was being towed behind the RV. I have no proof of this other than how clean, non-rusty and the overall condition of the Jeep and the tow hooks on the front. After that, It was kept in a carport and driven regularly for over 25 years before I bought it.
I've had in in a garage for the past few years. I'd like to keep it but I don't drive it enough to justify keeping it. I know...I should keep it. It needs to be driven and enjoyed. I have two others that are way less original and V-8. I'll be fine. Please let me know what else you need to know about it. I'm happy to gather info, pictures, video, etc for serious buyers. This Jeep needs to go to someone who loves Jeeps and will appreciate it for what it is. Thanks!
