1976 Jeep Cherokee S daily driver- project. This is an absolute community favorite. We are often seeing giant smiles and thumbs up and have even been approached on several occasions with questions and/or compliments. We are the second family to own this vehicle. The previous family kept it at their cabin in the Black Hills of South Dakota for the majority of its existence. The Hills are known for their hail storms (just ask ANYONE who has been to Sturgis for the rally), and the hail surely hasn't missed the old Jeep. Mechanically, it's great- with a long list of recently replaced parts. New parts on the list include shocks on all four corners, brake master cylinder, front brake pads and rotors, fuel pump, carburetor, poly fuel tank, muffler and exhaust tubing, HEI distributer, LED headlights, starter, battery, spark plugs, rocker panels, roof rack woodgrain, air filter, towing mirrors, rear tailgate glass weatherstrip and I know I am missing a few that won't hit me until I post this... but you get the idea. Everyone who drives it or even rides in it states how nice it drives and rides. It will go through anything it encounters too. We have even pulled other four wheel drive vehicles out of snow filled ditches. Fuel consumption is honestly better than one may think. I will tell you that it is better than our considerably newer Toyota Land Cruiser. It is as reliable as anything I have owned with a much higher cool factor. Don't get me wrong, it does have a couple short comings as well, with no AC and a defrost that takes a bit longer to clear the wind shield etc etc., and it will need the rear quarter panels replaced at some point, as well as some hail dent repair to really get the exterior looking as good up close as it does at a distance. Also the carpet is ready to go, there are some tears in the driver's seat, and the headliner is starting to sink after the hot hot summers we have recently experienced. Current door and cargo side panels are custom fit wood paneling- but we do still have the factory panels that will go with the buyer along with new rear quarter panels. It is powered by an AMC 360 V-8 that turns all four wheels through a TH400 transmission, Hi-Low range transfer case and Dana front and rear differentials. As much as we hate to see it go (thank old Uncle Joe)- we know that it is going to make someone happy for years to come. While all your new cars are rapidly losing value, this old Jeep will be doing it's best to make it right in your world, by climbing in value each and every day!  Thanks for looking!
