The Jeep has perhaps one of the most storied histories of any American-made vehicle, with the production of the same basic concept and design lasting since inception during WWII to now. While a brand new Jeep may be a far cry from the original Willys, consumers and enthusiasts of all kinds have been attracted to these timeless icons as long as Jeeps have been available. The CJ (Civilian Jeep) designation was used from 1945-1986, at which time the classic Jeep received it's first major redesign and became the Wrangler. The CJ-8 Scrambler was an interesting variation due to the removable hard top (a Jeep essential) and the extended wheel base giving it more use as a light duty pickup truck.
This gorgeous CJ-8 Scrambler Laredo is a beautiful example of the first Scrambler production year and looks as good as ever! The classic paint scheme and Scrambler decal package is a great combination, giving this Jeep a pure 1980s appearance. Sitting on newer chrome wheels with mild off-road tires and a slight lift really ties it all together! It appears that it isn't a fresh restoration, but shows extremely well. Last but not least, this Jeep was outfitted with an air conditioning unit under the dash as part of the Laredo package. Just what you need to keep you cool throughout the summer! The A/C works as it should and blows nice & cold.
