1979 Jeep CJ GOLDEN EAGLE

For sale is my 1979 CJ5 Golden Eagle with levi seats and levi dash pad in its original kaki color that has its age and bruises although still looks really cool and catches attention. Has a clean Utah title. Motor is a 6 in line 258 transmission is a 4 speed and it runs and drives great. I drove it just this week from North LA back to San Diego. about 130 miles and no problems at all that i could see except for its going to need the valve cover gasket replaced as it seaps oil down to engine. So when i bought it I thought about a new paint job and some other restoring woudn't take much to make this a 18 to 20k collectible jeep, I'm pretty sure this really cool safari like kaki color is pretty desired with a rare outlined original eagle on the hood some people want even more wich i can't believe but oh well.Anyway other priorities so its for sale now to the next jeep enthusiast.All the gauges work on the jeep except for its original clock its something to tinker with. The motor sounds good and idles good and its even equiped with aftermarket ac although needs a recharge. The 4 speed transmission and clutch work good and the transmission shifts nice. It has power brakes and power steering and tilt steering.The body is pretty solid except there are 4 to 5 areas that will need some rust repair although nothing majorand floors are mostly solid you will see them in the pictures and if you decided to leave it like this it will not take the beauty and original patina away you can enjoy it as is or you decide.I purchased it from a friend that lives in Utah he used it to go on some hunting trips.Also here is a list of things and accessaries that were added and done to it just before i acquired it.
