1982 Jeep Other Honcho

Here's something you don't see everyday.... This is a 1982 Jeep j10 Honcho Sportside pick up. According to online resources it is one of 1240 made between 1980 and 1983. I got this truck from a very good friend of mine and started to do some things to it and got it running great then I had unexpected open heart surgery. That will delay my plans for quite a while so I decided to sell it. I will walk you around the truck and describe it inside and out.
ExteriorThis truck was originally blue with blue graphics and blue interior and had a factory and very rare brush guard and roll bar with Marchal 850 off-road lights Somebody did a very basic black paint job quite some time ago. I kind of like it the way it is, it has great patina. The driver's front fender had been hit in the front corner which damaged the grill and the brush guard and fender. I smacked them all back out just to make it more presentable. The rest of the truck is in pretty good condition with very little rust. The bed is almost perfect. To be a flawless truck it should be repainted to the original color and the fender replaced along with the grill. The windshield is cracked and needs to be replaced. It has the original chrome Jeep spoked rims with one rear center cap missing. the tires are mismatched they were on it when I got it but they're not in bad shape. The driver side rear fiberglass fender is cracked and should be replaced. Overall this truck is in much better shape than many of them I've seen. it's a great start and would make a wonderful project.
InteriorHas the original blue interior it's not in bad shape considering the life it's had but it should be redone to be perfect. This is another aspect of the truck that I enjoyed since you did not have to worry about keeping it perfect. It could use a little cleaning and some odds and ends but again overall it's usable as is.
MechanicalThis has the 258 6 cylinder and 5-speed transmission. I've driven it the clutch and all the drivetrain seemed good. The four by four works perfectly in all ranges. This truck has all new shocks and steering stabilizer. The engine has been completely tuned up including a new fuel pump, battery and carburetor. It fires right up and runs like a sewing machine. This truck needs some mechanical tinkering as the windshield wipers do not work correctly nor do the headlights. It also needs window regulator work in the passenger door.
OverallThis is a fairly rare truck with great patina they can be used right away off road or on a farm or a hunting lease.
I am listing this truck and absolutely no reserve. The highest bidder gets it I have a video on YouTube of it running and a walk-around.
