Description:

1983 Jeep Wrangler

Only 2500 CJ7 CJ-7 Limiteds were made between 1982 and 1983, making this particular model extremely rare. In this condition, there are probably only a handful left. The Limited came with a hard fiberglass top, high back bucket cloth seats, tilt wheel power steering, padded roll bar, air conditioning, and am/fm radio. This one has all those original options plus more. Front brakes are disc, rear are drum.I'm the 2nd owner.
Engine and transmission were rebuilt 4000 miles ago.All matching serial numbers.About everything else was rebuilt/replaced, jeep was repainted with gray enamel, and it was driven by GF's granddaughter for a year prior to this. Here's what you're getting:• Original engine AND transmission rebuilt, Carter carb replaced with a Redline Weber 32/36 progressive, original brass radiator rodded out, new aluminum heater core, all new belts/hoses, stainless exhaust system replaces original, star
• Wiring replaced/repaired as needed, alternator and starter rebuilt. The original computers were removed with their related wiring when the Carter carb and pollution controls were replaced by the Weber. New distributor is HEI with built-in coil.
• New fuel tank, straps, all new hoses connected correctly for new system.
• Air conditioner compressor/filter/evaporator valve replaced. (AC leaked freon over the winter. It was refilled, but I didn't trace the leak yet)
• Master cylinder, booster, rear wheel cylinders, front brake lines, and all rotable brake parts replaced or serviced.
• Front wheel bearings replaced, differential and transfer case serviced, all inspected and in good condition.
• Interior Monster-lined original color, exterior repainted with original color enamel.
• New tires (still under warranty from Discount Tire), original wheels painted black instead of original grey, original trim rings.
• Comes with period-correct Ramsey winch (solenoid and switch not included), no cable, purchased by original owner.
• Original rear seat
• Many more new parts (spreadsheet available), all receipts and records, including original manual.
More, but basically this is a great find. There was some rust that was fixed (driver floorboard replaced with metal sheet, small spots under drivers door, under rollbar in rear, one small spot on front right fender), otherwise it was spared the usual rot often found on jeeps of this era. There are still some minor fixes that need done, but they ARE minor and you'll get a small box of new parts associated with them (spring/body bushings and u-joints).

If you're going to have it shipped, I'll work with the shippers you select.
