On going build the past 5 year's. Everything under this Jeep and inside this Jeep has been replaced or upgraded to a higher, heavy duty quality. Many brand name parts used to ensure it's 4 Wheel drive capability, reliability, power and performance, suspension ride and HD steering quality, HD axle parts. The 4.2 Jeep motor was rebuilt under 3,000 driven miles ago. 30 over build, low to mid range cam, headers, header heat shield, Hei distributor, Champion 3 core aluminum radiator, HD 3 phase electronic cooling fan for superior cooling. Motor and motor bay both very sanitary SEE PHOTOS. Howell EFI fuel injection also fitted to motor. Fuel injection won't flood like a carburetor when off road driving. *Fuel injection will also improve power and overall performance due to better fuel delivery. The transmission was also upgraded to the good heavy duty Borg Warner T-18. It's a 4 Speed manual transmission with a 6 1/2 to 1 1st gear. that will give you a very low range "compound low" that Jeep's need to crawl up and over objects when required. When in 4 Wheel Drive 'Low range' this Jeep is crawling at baby speed. It's a tank when in 1st gear low range. Jeep also fitted with lockers 'True trac' both front and rear end for superior all 4 wheel drive traction. The front and rear end both custom built to wide track CJ style axle. Set up for better stability for on and off pavement driving. Both front & rear axle tubes also had "Truss Bridge" support added to them = much stronger. SEE PHOTOS! The gearing was upgraded to 4:56 to improve the overall power and performance and low end torque needed in a true 4 wheel drive. Great gearing when running the bigger 35 tall tires. No loss of power when running the bigger type tire's. Also great gearing for driving around town.
Built to be a street driver as well as a Jeep you can drive year round. It's also a good looking Jeep (You will turn every head in town driving in this Jeep). It's a power steering CJ = easy to drive. Also disc brake CJ = Easy to stop. It's a true Classic 4 Wheel Drive "Not a free way flyer" No lifted, big tire, bigger suspension Jeep should ever be driven at high interstate speed. It's a Jeep - Not a Corvette! But it will go more places than a Corvette will for sure. This is a turn key done - ready to drive and enjoy classic CJ.
