1985 Jeep CJ Renegade

1985 Jeep CJ7 Renegade, w/ PS, PB, Tilt, 4.2ltr 6cyl, 5spd manual transmission, Dana 300, 20 GAL tank,has 34,419 original miles. It looks to be all original except for an HEI distributor, upper and lower radiator hoses, water pump, new starter, battery and right rear taillight. Zero rust on the frame and tub, only what you see in pics and video showing interior floor of tub and surface rust where exterior of tub is damaged. No smoke, no knocks or leaks (valve cover gasket seepage) runs cool with good oil pressure (see vid) It starts up every time and runs very well with the HEI ignition. The clutch feels and works perfect as does the transmission. It burns very clean (not rich) here at 7400 ft elevation unlike most carbureted vehiclesat this elevation. I see no signs of frame damage or repair.No oil in the coolant, no coolant in the oil. All lights work. This Jeep runs straight down the hwy @ 65MPH no pulling or shimmying when braking. Tires are 85-90% Always stored inside since I've owned it. The low milesare due to the fact it was used to get around a ranch in New Mexico. I have a clear NM title in my name. The bad:

Jeep has been tipped on drivers side and has tub, windshield frame, and slight fender damage. Windshield cracked, mirrors missing, drivers visor torn, radio bad, missing knobs (see pics), rear right corner of tub damaged, slight damage to tailgate, tailgate latches missing, original muffler rotted and holes, tailpipe aft of muffler missing, one knob for windshield release gone and replaced with bolt, the tach is inoperable (wasn't reconnected after HEI installed) drivers seat has been changed out and both seats have dry rot, tub has rips in floor at steps (see video) looks like the Jeep was recovered using step mounting bars, drivers seat mount cracked (see video), breather air duct torn, one chrome wheel missing, non-matching spare wheel, fuel tank skid pandent in,small hole in one cup holder hole of console, right step bent,wiper switch acts erratic and there is an issue with the wiper linkage, sometimes engine will die about 90 seconds after starting in cold, but restarts right up (carb may need cleaning or adjustment, the Outland soft top included (is installed now)is in bad condition (dry rot on top)they attached the top using TEK screws through top rail of tub (visable on video), front bumper slightly tweaked (see pic), previous owner sprayed black paint on brake booster, master cylinder thermostat housing and around front axle housing and tie rods.

If you have a problem finding them contact me. I recommend anyone interested in the Jeep to come inspect it in person and drive it, you will not be disappointed. I am veryflexible on meetingduring weekdays and weekends.If you want to drive it off my property have a valid drivers license and valid proof of current insurance in your name, because I don't have liability coverage on it. I will not disclose the reserve price but it will be lowered on subsequent listings until it sells. Don't assume anything is included that is not mentioned in this listing.
