I picked this up thinking I'd have time to use it as the ultimate weekend escape plan. I guess I'm working too hard because it doesn't seem to happen nearly enough! It's bittersweet, really, to let the DJ5 go, it has been the most fun to drive and easiest to work on of any car I've owned. I've kept it this long because I really like the interest and jealously it inspires, but now I want someone to find it who will enjoy it with regular gusto. I bought the Jeep from a postal worker who had driven it every day in Gualala and was just retiring. Thinking about it, there may be a need for an extra digit on the odometer because I can't imagine a 40 year old truck that has run solidly rain or shine, night or day only having 25K on there. There is some cosmetic issues, rust in a few spots, maybe some body detailing that is very specific to a certain taste. Basically, it comes down to helping this truck find a person who wants a unique and reliable vehicle to bond with.
