For Sale: 1979 Jeep CJ-5 with AMC 360 V8 Engine
Hello, I am selling my 1979 Jeep CJ-5. This Jeep is in great condition and was restored from the frame up and put back together to its original beauty. Sad to let her go but it is time to find a new home for her.
Please see my youtube.com video linked below for details, a test ride, and lots of other information. I am not a car salesperson so please excuse my sad video skills. The paint is firecracker red, although it appears almost orange in some of the pictures and part of the video (made with iphone).

The Jeep has no rust, no shiny and ugly diamond plating, and hasn't seen more off-roading than the occasional gravel road. It does have many new parts to include fuel lines, fuel tank, brakes, undercoating, backseats etc. The Jeep is pretty much stock with the exception of an INSANE AMC 360 V8 Engine. I've been doing some research on it but haven't been able to find which truck it came out of originally.
If you’ve researched CJs you know that an AMC 360 V8 swap is a highly desirable upgrade….and you will notice it cruising down the highway or when going on trails.
It also has a nice radio installed but not speaker. I was going to purchase speakers that can be mounted to the roll bar but never got around to doing it.
Please note that I am selling this Jeep without a title. A title is not required for old vehicles like this one in my state (Alabama), so I didn’t go through the trouble of obtaining one. It is registered, insured, and I drive it weekly to work and around town. I do have the previous bill of sale for when I purchased the Jeep from its previous owner, and if you purchase this beauty, you will receive a bill of sale from me indicating your ownership. I’ll be happy to have the bill of sale notarized at my local bank if requested.
If you are local, you are welcome to see her in person. Please don’t waste our time if you are not committed to a potential purchase or if you don’t have the cash. If you are serious, you may take it for a ride of course.
If you live far away (from north Alabama), you may have the Jeep shipped to you at your expense. I’d be happy to assist with the shipment by setting up a date for pickup with you and the shipping company. Or just bring your own trailer.
