1942 Jeep Willys MB

USMC World War II Willys MB/MZ. Frame serial number MB 343492; Body number 3644; USMC number 102076. Members from the G503 Website have determined the body on this jeep is a NOM12, the frame is MZ-2. This fits with the Motor Transport Rebuild Tag on the transmission/transfer case dated 46.
The jeep was restored as a post-war Motor Transport rebuild assigned to the Third Tank Battalion - Dog Company - Korea. The jeep was purchased from a person living in California who had purchased it from the City of Oroville in 1984. The California registration indicates it was first sold in 1957 and is listed as a year model 42. This registration card lists the vehicle ID as MB 343492 which is the frame serial number. ...NO OTHER DATA PLATES ARE ON THIS JEEP.
The jeep has a CLEAR Oregon title registered to the frame number MB 343492 and a Oregon Antique License Plate.
Jeep runs well with a four-cylinder L-head Willys Industrial engine with an MB intake, exhaust manifold and WO carburator. Jeep is 12-volt with civilian tail lights, marker and headlights. Blackout drive light is 6-volt and not wired up. Has a 12-volt generator and voltage regulator.
Transfer case (model 18) is rebuilt; transmission (T-84) is rebuilt. Master cylinder, wheel cylinders and rubber brake lines have been replaced. Radiator rebuilt (rodded out). Exhaust system replaced; universal joints replaced, and other items replaced. Some receipts are available for this restoration.
Jeep has WeeBee webbing OD canvas seat cushion on all 3 seats and WeeBee webbing canvas OD top.
Paint used was Ord 9 USMC Forest Green.
5 combat wheels with almost-new STA 600-16-inch non-directional tires.
Jeep runs well in parades and other outings. It does NOT overheat. Depending upon your preference, the steering box may need attention. On occasion, when downshifting, you need to shift from third to first gear.

RADIOS:FT 285 receiver; MP 22 antenna mount. Shock mount for radio is wired for listening.
