1982 Jeep CJ Scrambler

FOR SALE1982 JEEP SCRAMBLER CJ8
Hate to sell my extremely rare and very beautiful classic Scrambler but.... I barely drive it enough to justify keeping it. Here is some quick history>>> Jeep was rustproofed when new. 1st owner (friend) blew the original 258 motor in the late '80's and bought my '76 Chevy truck for the 350 small block which is in it now. Jeep has original Dana transmission. During his 10 years of ownership, the Jeep was sitting idle for 3 years or so due to the blown engine and his DUI. 2nd owner (friend) bought the Jeep and just stored it for 20 years until I bought it in 2012. Jeep was re-painted shortly after I bought her. Just a few rock chips here and there. (Sun yellow was only offered in '82). Scrambler runs great and has some get up and go power. Drives nice even at 70 miles per hour. Jeep gets a ton of attention and comments. These pics were taken back in 2012 right after it was painted before the {better seats, repainted bumpers and side turn signal markers}. Replacement seats are exact match and in really nice condition with the exception of a small tear on the drivers seat. Original body and frame looks great from being stored most of its life. Floorboards have some rust from the carpet holding in moisture. I took the original carpet out ASAP and will include that in the sale. Non original stereo, speedometer/odometer, steering wheel and shifter knob. Jeep is dependable and I would not hesitate to drive it long distance. Have 2 extra nutmeg seats and a matching nutmeg back seat (mint) purchased from a CJ7 owner for special times you might want to ride 4 people. Extra dash pad also but is tan not nutmeg. Tread on tires still look almost new. I never drive it in rain or snow and always keep it garaged. Must be picked up in person. Jeep being sold AS IS! Taking a loss at the opening bid price. I have the original paperwork and booklets also. Clean title in hand. Local people are more than welcome to come inspect and even test drive. Any questions? Good luck!
