1959 Jeep Other

This Jeep runs and looks great. Plenty of power on tap from the built 302 (sounds extremely awesome) you can feel the thump from this engine and the sound is the first thing that turns heads. Rides nice with no shimmy or shake. The paint shines and is in pretty good shape. There are a few bubbles under the paint at the bottom of the body but they have been there and not got any bigger since I have owned it (5 years). There are a few things that need adjusting, hooked up or fixed. The linkage from the overdrive to the shift lever is not hooked up. I would guess the overdrive needs to be fixed or replaced and this is the first thing that I would get working for it would soon pay for itself in gas millage and less wear and tear on the engine. The windshield wipers work but need to be adjusted. The bright switch for the head lights needs fixed or hooked up if you want brights. It has a park brake pull lever but that is it. I have always used 1st gear for the park brake with no issues. You will have other vehicles honking and people waving at you and not just from other Jeeps. You will also be getting hit up to give others rides and some will even ask to drive it including the women. If you actually want to deal with that then this Jeep is for you.
This is the Jeep that was owned by the Hi-Fi shop in Ogden UT. and used for advertising their high end car stereo equipment. I don't know what the inside of the engine has in it but here is a list of everything that I do know about it. I believe that some of the custom items made for it are one of a kind.
Polished aluminum dash with a padded dash board. The only squeaks that I can hear seem to come from where the roll bar rubs against the dash board. If you could get some lube in between them that should eliminate the squeaks but they are not really noticeable to begin with.
Digital gauges with 6418.7 miles on the odometer.
I assume all work on the jeep was done when the odometer was new at zeros.
GT steering wheel with tilt steering.
JVC KD-R97MBS marine outdoor stereo with CD player, Bluetooth and many other features. This was the only stereo I could find where you can program the lights to slowly fade continuously from one color into the next color. It looks pretty sweet at night and yes, I got it from the Hi-Fi shop with a two year warranty. You should be able to register it to your name. I got the stereo deck and compositor earlier this summer but the Lanzar Vibe 251 1600w amp, B&W outdoor speakers and MTX Thunder 5000 sub are all old school. Also included are the mounting brackets for B&W speakers, they used to be mounted on top of the wheel wells. This system sounds great and you can feel the thump pretty good.
Full cage padded roll bar with the main bar set back so you have a better field of view and will not accidentally bang your head on it like you do on the old stock roll bars.
Smittybilt Extreme Sport Handles.
Rhino lined tub inside and out except where the paint is.
Fiberglass hood
Tail lights have been recessed.
Aluminum I beam bumpers.
Receiver hitch.
Mud flaps on rear.
Rancho gas shocks.
Monroe Max-Air air shocks. Air shocks really stabilize the suspension. Most other Jeeps will tip when going around corners but not this Jeep. It rolls tight and smooth from beginning to end.
Old school 12.5" polished aluminum mag wheels with locking lug nuts.
33x12.5 R15LT BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO tires with transferable lifetime warranty from Discount Tire. Tires and brakes are in excellent shape.
Before I had the air shocks and new tires installed, this Jeep used to have 35 inch Super Swamper Boggers and they cut out the back of the wheel wells to accommodate them. The back end doesn't look as squared off, more curved and racier looking.
Warn hubs.
Warn wench.
Warn overdrive.
Dana 30 open knuckle front end w/427 gear ratio.
Dana 44 posi rear end w/427 gear ratio.
Dana 18 transfer case.
Built Ford 302 engine with headers.
3 inch Flowmaster mufflers.
Edelbrok intake manifold.
Edelbrok carburetor 500 cfm
K&N air filter.
Taylor Spiro pro spark plug wires.
Electric fan.
Easy access oil filter on the firewall.
Ford 4 speed truck transmission (1st gear is granny gear).
It has some minor leaks just like they all do.There are scratches, dents, dings, rust, imperfections on just about everything but still looks great for its age! I need some money for a patent so I thought I would test the waters to see what this Jeep might be worth now and I reserve the right to end this auction early at anytime for any reason as I have it listed locally as well. I welcome and advise personal inspections prior to bidding. All sales are final and there will be no refunds once the vehicle leaves my property. As with anybody who is not an expert, I could miss an important point so please ask me any questions before bidding, Thanks-Richard 801-682-8233
