Description:

1970 Jeep Other

Up for sale. A rare find. I am selling this for an older gentleman. Here's the story. This Jeep was bought brand new on 10/25/69 in San Diego, CA where it put on most of its mileage and stayed until 1992. In 1992 the owner moved to his current residence in Central, PA where less than 1000 miles have been put on. Has always been garage kept in PA. Has never seen salty PA roads and it shows. Very minimal rust (if any). Last inspected in 2004-2005 when it was changed to an "Antique Tag" which does not require inspection. Please look at all the documentation. This is the real deal. All original, one owner. Owner is now in his late 70's and cannot get in and out and drive stick which is why it is now for sale. From what I understand this Jeep had an optional Warn Overdrive transmission/package added to it from new and several other options you can see listed on the original Bill of Sale. Also comes with original owners manual, shop manual, and other paperwork. Comes with tow bar as well. Jeep runs and drives. Everything works including radio. One reverse light is out. Check out pictures. If you have any questions please ask. Has 4:88 gears. Local pick-up or may be able to deliver within reasonable distance for additional fee. Otherwise up to buyer to arrange shipping. Cash or certified check accepted as payment. Clear PA title in original owners name.

Just a few additional notes that have come to light:

The trim tag is for a charcoal interior. The front seats were recovered at some point. The rear seat is original.

The top is not the original.

The rims are 15"

The roll cage is mounted to the body.

The transmission is a 3 speed with the warn overdrive hi-low gears that work in both 2wd and 4wd.

The windshield frame is believed to always have been black

At this time there is not a "Buy it Now" price.

I am selling for the owner. I did not buy this cheap to resell and make money. He still owns the Jeep and title is in his name. He just doesn't use the internet.
