1964 Jaguar E-Type

I passed by this garage 15 years ago in Orange County and the photo above is what I seen. Speaking to the owner at that time that he had no intentions on selling it. That he was going to restore it one day.
Over the years, James the owner & I became friends. Just recently, a call from him mentioning he was ready to part with it. His health was not getting any better & his dream became nothing more then a dream. I headed over that weekend & brought it home last month.
I'm pleased to present this Series 1 Coupe that has been sitting in the garage since 1977 ...Never to been seen or advertised elsewhere other then here today



History
Laguna Beach of Southern California
September of 1968 - James purchased this 1964 Series 1 Coupe used at a dealer ship in Orange County. It was his "fun car" as he mentioned for many years. Always Wishing it was Silver Blue, he had it painted around 72/73.
Last driving the Coupe in 1977 after purchasing a new 450SL. Parking it in the garage & for 46 years it sat. Early 80's he took up a body class & had thoughts of restoring it him self. Taking off a few exterior trim pieces & starting little bodywork. Loosing interest & this is the way it sat for Decades.
