XJ6 Sedan, Completely Restored - In and Out, Possible Trade (Nice Sports Car?)

1986 Jaguar XJ6 Series III - No Reserve

This is a ‘no-expense spared’ restoration and award-winning show car. Original owner purchased the car new. After the car aged, owner had it extensively restored by Special Cars Only, in Oldsmar, FL. SPC is well-known for their high-end restorations, having won 2 best of class awards at Amelia Island. About the restoration, the seller said, “I had an open checkbook, wanted the car to be better than new and didn’t care what it cost. Back then I had more money than common sense.” Just the paint job was $15K.

The entire car was restored including every piece of walnut, a complete new leather interior, new headliner, new rugs, new wheels, etc. For increased performance and reliability, it was fitted with a new GM 350 crate engine and new TH350 3-spd automatic trans. The 350 gives the car more horsepower and torque, as well as increased reliability.

Many photos were taken during the restoration process and will be provided to the new owner. Original window sticker and owner’s manual also go with car. Over $75K was invested for the restoration. Not a spot of rust anywhere and cruises and shifts smoothly.

I’m the second owner and since purchasing, its had the brakes redone, new high-performance shocks, new battery, new distributor, and had the front end lowered 1 1/4". A new exhaust system was installed including dual pipes with an ‘X” configuration and Jaguar silencers and mufflers (no cats).It sounds like a stock XJ6, which was the goal. The engine compartment has recently been tidied-up and is hard to tell from factory. This work was done within the last year. The odometer reads high miles, but the engine, trans, and restoration have about 49k miles on them.
