It is a pleasure to present this Legendary Classic Jaguar E-Type inExtraordinary Driver Condition !
Build Date September 26, 1961 Chassis Number 875618 Early Production assembly with Flat Floors and Welded Hood louver, Double ( Forked ) Trunk Hinges, and straight back rear compartment among the early production details that were distinct to the early low volume Series 1 E-Types. Listed in the Jaguar Heritage (see in description , this Roadster was originally finished in Opalescent Bronze with a Red Convertible Top along with the present Biscuit Leather interior . A very rare combination believed to be 1 of 2 Flat Floor models produced with the Bronze exterior paint colour . Henc, when restored in 2014 the colour change preferred to Hunter Green with the Biscuit Canvas Top. This XKE features an Upgraded Getrag 5 Speed transmission along with an Electronic distributor and Aluminum radiator with electric cooling fan . These upgrades make this a very Quic, smooth and efficient modern touring roadster that is dependable and confident with today's driving conditions. The original distributor and an original rebuilt Moss 4 speed Gear Box are included with the sale .*********************With only 41,427 miles the 3.8 L 265 HP Inline Six performs magnificent with the upgrade, we do not claim it to be rebuilt as there is no documents to verify . The motor has excellent compression and does not have any oil consumption issues or inherent noises . We can provide a mechanic verification if desired .==================================================================The 5 speed Getrag transmission is simply a pleasure and an asset to the driving and performance capabilities of this 59 year old Legend ! No worry of synchro mashing with positive power distribution on the highway and country roads . As stated the rebuilt 4 speed Moss Gear Box / Serial # EB 990 JS is included with the sale .**********************************************************************************A meticulous restoration was performed circa 2006 on this Series 1 . At that time it was refinished in Hunter Green which has been passionately kept over the past 14 years . It has a deep lustrous smooth finish with only a few minor chips ( lower edge of trunk lid ) . The Canvas Biscuit colour Convertible top is excellent and fits tigh, operating manually with ease of motion . The interior is in original minimal wear condition and shows well . Seatbelts are present for safety . All gauges and electronics are in working order .An aftermarket Radio / CD is present ( original radio is absent ).***********************This E- type has the Straight Squared rear Body Compartment behind the seats only present in the early Flat Floor build models.***********************All original glass and chrome are excellent and windows roll up and down as new !*********************************************************************Original Jaguar Wire Wheels Perfect condition with 185R / 15 Michelin Tires******************The original style tool kit containing the Garrington / Jaguar wrench set is included along with a restored telescopic screw Jack with a wheel spinner knock off remover .==============================================Tonneau Cover is included( It will need studs on the car to be implemented for use )---------------------------------------------------------------------British Flag style Car Cover Included !
