1983 Jaguar XJS

European Motor Studio is excited to offer this 1983 Jaguar XJS HE V12 Coupe finished in Rhodium Silver Metallic over Black leather. After leaving the Coventry Browns Lane factory in England in June of 1983, this XJS was invoiced to Jaguar Cars North America and sent to Falvey Motor Cars of Troy Michigan where it sold new to its first owner on July 28, 1983. Having traveled a mere 58,500 miles since new, this XJS is accompanied with its original owners handbooks, service booklet, radio and tire books and the original XJS sales brochure. The largely original, the Rhodium Silver Metallic paint shows very well for its age and has just undergone a full paint correction. There is minor lacquer checking in the roof and in the trunk but hard to see outside (more visible under direct light). The paint has an excellent shine and depth with some minor stone chips in the front nose, two small ones in the driver door and one small one on the hood. All of the rubber trim and chrome all show very well. The leather interior is original and shows very well for the cars age. The leather is still soft showing minor wear to the driver seat. The carpets are all in very good condition and the original black Jaguar floor mats are present and in great shape as well. The headliner has just been replaced. The wood is in beautiful condition free from any cracks and the dash is also free from cracks or damage. This XJS has just undergone a full service including fluids, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, filters, new oil sending unit, front pads and rotors, four new tires, an AC service and recharge, new upper and lower control arm bushings, new sway bar bushings, new front shocks, and a new transmission mount. The V12 engine starts right up and idles smoothly. The engine pulls very strong with excellent smooth power. The transmission shifts well and smoothly through all of the gears. The suspension and steering is nice and precise with a good smooth ride free from any noises. The brakes are solid with no signs of fade or grinding. All of the exterior and interior lights are operating as designed, all of the gauges are reading correctly, the clock is working and the power door locks, windows and mirrors are functioning as they should (the original Jaguar radio does not operate nor does the antenna). This is a great running and driving XJS that has been very well sorted and is ready for the next owner to enjoy. There are no signs of any prior accident repair.
