Wonderful opportunity for someone looking to complete a Matching Numbers Classic Jaguar e-type restoration for way less $$ than a fully restored example.
1969 Jaguar E-Type 2+2 Coupe for sale. 44,740 miles recorded. Last registered late 1980's. Special order Metallic Burgundy! Matching Numbers (Block and tranny all match data plate- as with many lager types, head not stamped), A/C, manual transmission, disc wheel example. Car runs and drives and brakes. Low mile original e type Jaguar. I have Jaguar Heritage Certificate.
The pictures will tell the story and for those who know these cars, will reveal not only the amount of work already completed, but the amount of $$ spent as well to get the car to this point.
Lots of the hard workcompleted at a great cost:
1- Carcompletely stripped to bare metal. No rot. No panel replacement. 2- Epoxypremiered and paintedburgundy. Upon receiving Jaguar Heritage Cert learned car was special orderMetallicBurgundy. Final blocking and ready for last coat of Metallic paint3- Bonnet completely dismantled, stripped, media blasted, epoxy primed and basecoats of Metallic paint applied. Inside of bonnet is completely restored as shown in pics.4- Brand new SNG Barrett Black interior5- Rear end assemblycompletely dismantled, media blasted, andpowder coated and reassembled as shown in pics.6- Stainless steal exhaust system installed7- All master cylinders completely rebuilt July 2018. 8- Many enginecompartment components rebuilt and restored as shown.9- Both doors and rear glass lid have been painted and rubbed out in MetallicBurgundy and ready for installation. All glass and doorcomponents are accounted for.10- Chrome all accounted for. Will need re-plating. 11- Loads of workcompleted both underneath the Jag and in the engine compartment with fully restored radiator,re-plated bonnet hardware, new lines front to back of jag, flushed out gas tank, toomuch to list.
