1952 Jaguar XK120 OTS Roadster, Rust Free, Survivor!

PRICED TO SELL!! This is a true survivor! This is a rust-free very original 1952 Jaguar XK120 SE/M OTS roadster that is a fantastic tour car with unbelievable performance. The last owner was Don Schell, a well known car collector in Camp Hill, PA. He enjoyed the car for the past 21 years, having bought it with 7,000 miles on the odometer at Hershey in 1998. It is now showing 20,000 miles. This XK120 has the "S" designation which according to... all sources means a higher lift cam and special equipment, including the icon wire wheels. The S or SE stood for Special Equipment and in the US is sometimes referred to as M for modified. The higher lift cam is said to increase the output by 20 hp. This example has a later XK150 engine installed, engine number LA 4129-9. This car has been enjoyed in good weather most of its life, because it is free of rust. It had been repainted in the original red paint decades ago and remains in touring quality condition today. Since under our stewardship, we've rubbed out the paint and had many of the small dents removed, mainly from the aluminum. The doors, trunk (boot) and hood (bonnet) are all crafted from aluminum. The paint overall looks very nice for touring, but up close there are several areas where there is some cracking and other blemishes. But it looks sharp! We've run out bondo detector and there was no filler detected throughout the car. It is really a rust free example. There is light cracking, mainly around where the front driving lights are on top of the fender. This is typically from where the lead was used to add the light housing on top of the fender. The interior and dash are in very nice condition. The seats are very comfortable and are finished in black vinyl. The carpet is also in excellent condition. The wire wheels and tires are in excellent shape and run down the highway very well. The jack and hammer, along with the spare wheel and shop manuals, are in the truck. The trunk is also free of rust and looks great. The Jag comes with a car cover as well. The engine fires right up, warm or cold. And it sounds fantastic. It has an amazing throaty growl that you expect from a healthy Jaguar. All of the gauges, except the clock, work as they should. The oil pressure is excellent and it has an auxiliary fan installed for use on warm days. This car is meant for the open road, because its performance is rather amazing. It comes with a very nice newer convertible top and excellent (likely never used) side curtains. This is a true survivor. It is available for inspection or viewing at our Phoenix showroom.
