Description:

1960 Jaguar XK XK150

This 196O Jaguar XK15O is an unrestored left-hand drive Fixed Head Coupe with just over 43k indicated miles on its numbers-matching 3.8 liter inline-six and 4-speed manual gearbox. Built in early October 1959, the car was kept by its second owner from 1961 until 2014, when I purchased her. Its original engine, powertrain components, and colors are confirmed by the included Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, and the car is sold with a clear title in my name.
A single high-quality exterior repaint has been carried out in the original cream color, with the older finish retaining a smooth and even gloss.
The car has never received metal repair, and no rust or bubbling are visible in the lower rockers, wheel arches, or other typical problem areas.
Chrome bumpers shine well with occasional mild signs of age, as do the unbent grille, window trim, and light bezels. Glass markers, red parking lamp reminders, and other lenses appear crisp and devoid of cracks, as does the central Jaguar-stamped glass reverse light. Windows are intact and damage-free.
Both seats have been reupholstered in their original patterns and their red leather hides fit well and exhibit minimal wear. Newer carpeting are free of notable issues, while matching plush wind lacing appears healthy. Factory tinted Perspex sun visors are present beneath a tight-fitting fawn headliner. Interior brightwork shines nicely with occasional light pitting.
Original leather-covered dash and door surfaces present well. The stock four-spoke wheel houses a clear horn emblem and appears devoid of splits. Factory Smiths gauges are all working, including a five-digit odometer indicating just over 43k believed-accurate miles. Knobs and levers are intact throughout, including those on the period Boman AM/FM radio mounted under the dash.
A factory jack and tire change tools are included along with a spare wire wheel mounted with a Dunlop Road Speed tire.
Enlarged from 3.4 liters late in 1959, the XK's 3.8 liter inline six was originally rated at 220 horsepower when equipped with the twin SU carburetors seen here. All looks tidy and period-appropriate underhood, including a metallic blue numbers-matching cylinder head, polished factory air cleaner, twin 6-volt electrical system, and vintage-style Champion plug wire terminals. The 4-speed manual gearbox is also matching the heritage certificate and operate smoothly with good clutch feel. The engine bay wears original paint and looks clean in its seams and corners.
Frame rails and outriggers are solid and the rest of the undercarriage is also clean.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate confirms the chassis, engine, transmission, and body numbers, as well as its original cream exterior and red interior colors. Limited service records are also included.
In-person inspections are invited and encouraged.
