1937 Squire SS-100 (manufactured 1972) #29 of 50
1937 Jaguar SS100
The Squire SS-100 is an Intermeccanica roadster introduced at the 1971 NY International Auto Show, sold between 1971 - 1973. It is a close approximation to a 1937 SS-100 in appearance and perfomance. The Squire was offered in three colors: red, yellow and white. The drivetrain is Ford: 250 inch 6 cylinder, Toploader 4 speed, 9 inch rear with 3.25 gears. This is #29 in a production run of 50 cars. I have owned this car for fifteen years. This car features a boxed chassis, coil over front suspension, multi-leaf rear, Bendix brakes, wire wheels, functional bonnet louvers, original cloth top with Perspex rear window, side curtains with sliders and wind wings. I have added a Le-mans fuel filler and 1930s accessories and trim. My Squire has a full leather interior: seats, dash, door panels and robe rail. It has a Moto-lita wheel, full instrumentation, multi-speed heater/defroster and electric wipers. The car has new wiring and a new fuse panel, new voltage regulator and new alternator and carburetor. I modified the front fender lamps to also function as front directionals for maximum visibility and driveability. I installed a back-up electric fuel pump for redundancy. The clutch and brake have period correct floor pedals. This Squire is fully sorted. It looks great and you can drive it without concern.
