1984 JAGUAR XJS WITH 6 SPEED RICHMOND OD TRANSMISSION COMPLETE WITH ALL LINKAGES, PEDAL BOX, AND OTHER ACCESSORIES. Transmission serial number 71-68112. Every nut and bolt, including the driveshaft, bellhousing, special clutch and flywheel, shifter, etc. is here to swap into your XJS. THIS INCLUDES KONI SHOCKS ALL AROUND AND HIGH PERFORMANCE SPRINGS. This car was running, driving and shifting smoothly when parked 6 years ago.
Transmission shifted cleanly and synchros are smooth. The ultimate Jag V12 overdrive transmission set-up.
This Jag could be restored, but probably better used as a donor parts car for another clean XJS with a nice paint job. Interior is poor and paint is poor. Engine has blown head gasket. Body has zero rust - Calif car.
Original owner had an obsession to spend money on this Jag. 6 speed Richmond, installed, was $11,000. He also had the best extended warranty available and made them fix the slightest issue, including a new dash fuel mileage computer. Urethane bushings all around. Theft alarm. Oversize air cleaner inlets (of dubious value). His son (estate sale) described it as "His Honey" and driven soft. Trans and clutch show zero wear.
INCLUDED with this first 1984 XJS in this auction lot is a FREE second 1987 XJS with a complete XJ-R body kit. This is an original condition XJS with blown head gasket. Extras also include a complete CHROMED rear drive suspension assembly 3rd member. And an extra windshield. This red 1987 will have good inflated roller tires when sold.
