Ultra rareJaguar XJ6C short wheelbasepillar-less coupe!Smooth 6 cylinder engine straight out of the race bred XKE-Type and the finest walnut burr veneers, Wilton carpets and British leather. Jaguar only made 6,487of these babies between 1975 and 1977. According to Paul Phillips, (a noted coupe expert who runs a coupe parts house and coupe registry)less than 200 exist in the US. Class without the headaches!Most parts are available through Jaguar OEM suppliers in the UK / USA. Made from 1975 to 1977. This fine red car was restored in 2003 from a good sound body. It was garaged before AND AFTER restoration. The paint is a 7. The pictures are a good indication of the condition. Great driver condition. No rust spots. Occasional Blemish. Looks great from 6ft. Some areas require retouching - as with any 43yr old car.Rare bright Jaguar Carmine Red.Original black vinyl roof.The car is 98% original - right down to the jaguar hubcaps and the original jack in the trunk. NEW biscuit connolly leather Jaguar hide seats- looks like it rolled out of Coventry yesterday.The leather seats are immaculate. New electronic fuel pump (LH side).Purrs like a cat!The engine is quiet and moves through the automatic transmission beautifully. These are hard to find, and when you do - they've been messed around with. Never buy one with a Chevy 350 conversion. It's lost its soul. I've had my bodyshop go over the vehicle and this is avery solid car with.The underside has original under-seal and is solid with original floorpans. I've updated the photos with an underside inspection- based on some buyer's interest in the car (and it's unibody construction.) Original under-seal is evident.No holes! No structural damage - this is a very dry car that was always garaged. • New brake rotors, calipers, pads and hoses (front)• New inboard brake pads and disks (rear)• New Gas-A-Just shock absorbers (front)• Rebuilt automatic transmission with torque converter Frame and floorpans are 100%. Even where the under-seal has chipped off there is only light surface rust. The rear valance panel has some scratches between the exhausts, the power steering belt has a slight squeak on full lock. (needs tightening) Press the gas andshe takes off way faster than an injection XJ6.Twin Strombergs make a great sucking noise. Just add a little choke on a cold start and this XJ straight 6 will run all day. This is one of just a couple in the USA with thisstriking color combination. A great investment -destined to double or triple in value with careful stewardship. Starts with one turn of the key and evokes the"space, grace and pace"that made Jaguar one of the greatest British luxury marques. Walk around of the vehicle will be posted shortly.
