1983 Jaguar XJ6 Vanden Plas

THE VIN NUMBER ON THE METAL PLATE IN THE WINDSHEILD HAS ONE DIGIT DIFFERENT THAN THE VIN NUMBER ON THE TITLE. IT WAS OBVIOUSLY A DMV MISTAKE. WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO ENTER THE VIN NUMBER FROM THE TITLE, EBAY WOULDN'T FINISH THE LISTING. SO I HAD TO USE THE VIN NUMBER ON THE METAL PLATE, WITH ONE DIGIT DIFFERENT, IN ORDER TO COMPLETE THIS LISTING. THE CARFAX REPORT FOR THIS CAR SHOWS THE CORRECT INFO USING THE VIN NUMBER ON THE CA. TITLE. THE VIN NUMBER ON THE TITLE IS: SAJAY1344DC363907. IT SHOWS THE HISTORY ENDING IN 2009, WHICH IS CORRECT.
Bought this car in 2010. Car had just had the transmission rebuilt at AMCO for over $2000. Car had just had the heads rebuilt. Car had just had the upholstery redone. Car did run. I left it in the garage until 2015. I never registered it. It has $$$$ owed to Ca. DMV, in late fees. Last time I checked, it was approx. $3000. Last time I started it, was 2015. Drove it out of the garage and parked it in my driveway. It has had a car cover over it, the entire time. Went to start it a couple days ago, and it isn't starting. Not sure what's wrong, but it shouldn't be anything major. (Can't guarantee that of course) This car has only had a few miles put on it since the trans. was rebuilt. I know one of the 2 gas tanks has a leak, that needs to be repaired. Driver's door doesn't stay open, on its own. There's some body imperfections, and a dent in the rear passenger door on the left side, facing the car. It may be able to be pulled out. I will add another pic or 2 of the dent in the next day or so. It's hard to see in the pics I already have. There's one place on the skirt package where a small fiberglass repair needs done (see pic). The skirt package on this car is one of a kind. You will NEVER see this again on any other series 3!!!. It is probably worth more than the car. It could be removed and installed on another series 3. The wheels are the expensive Gazario Type 167. They retail for $495 each, and you wont find them anywhere used. I am selling this as a non running project car. I am not allowing anyone to come to my house and attempt to start it. If you want to turn over the engine to verify that's its not locked up, that's fine. But no attempts to do mechanics work on the car, prior to purchasing, will be allowed. Selling it AS-IS, with no guarantees and no warranty. Title is clear, other than back fees owed to the wonderful state of California. This car could be registered in any other state without any back fees being owed. This is a one of a kind modified Jaguar Series 3. You will probably never see one again set up like this one. My 14 year old son is just sick about me selling it, but I don't have the time, and I moved here not knowing about the astronomical fees I would be charged if I didn't keep the registration current. $500 nonrefundable deposit required by winning bidder, within 24 hours of auction end. Balance due within 3 days. 14 days from auction end, to pick up the car. Buyer is responsible for shipping.
