This car was recently purchased from it's long term Louisiana owner of the past 25 years. It's believed original color scheme was Opalescent Silver Blue with Navy Blue trim, as it's evident on all the body panels and the subframe assemblies. This car is a 100% matching numbers car including the body tag, chassis picture frame stamping, gearbox casing and lid, engine block and cylinder head- all matching up to the original and factory data plate. It includes a bonus of a desirable and attractive factory hardtop, which is believed to have been added later to the car. This car has never been largely disassembled for restoration. It appears it's to have had only one single repaint, which is it's current green color.The body on this car is overall very good with no signs of any accident damage. All of the body panels appear original to the car with decent gaps. The bonnet assembly is very good and solid, with nice original shape to it, never been hit. The car has had it's front floors replaced at one point in the past. The car's underside looks pretty solid with good mainrails and an excellent original set of nice front subframes. Some repairs to the outer rockers would be needed.The car's matching number gearbox, head, and block have been lightly assembled and installed in the car for shipping purposes. The engine is very complete with all of it's internals stored in crates, boxes, ziploc bags, and are all included with the car (see pictures). The rear wheels are stuck from sitting, but the car will roll along easily with two rear wheel dollies. The car also includes a spare tire.The car's interior is pretty complete and in decent condition including it's original seats, top frame, instruments, chrome trim, etc. There are a few hardtop finishing strips/finishers missing.Overall, a hugely desirable Series One 3.8 Liter Roadster for restoration. This car has a full matching numbers driveline, original data plate, attractive factory hardtop, and was originally finished in a pretty color scheme. This car has never been apart for restoration and remains fairly original. It is becoming increasingly rare to find matching numbers cars in this most economically-priced, restorable condition.
