Up for sale is a beautiful, low mileage 1989 jaguar XJ6 that we purchased in April. Our intent was for a second car/ weekend car for my wife and I. We simply have not had the time to dedicate to it.
This car was a one owner vehicle purchased new in Beverly Hills. CA at Hornburg Jaguar on Wilshire Blvd. It has been garaged in Bel Air, California it's whole life, until we purchased it. This beautiful Jaguar has been maintained at either the Jaguar dealership, or Frank McClain and Son's Rolls Royce/Jaguar service in Reseda. Ca since new. Comes with original, clear title issued in 1989, and the original owner's manual with full compliments of books, etc.

Recent rear suspension conversion to new Boge standard REAR springs and shocks at Frank McClain and Son's. Rear hydraulics have been removed. Solving a major issue with these cars. See Photos--

Mechanically, the vehicle has been inspected and here is the needs:
Front brake rotors slightly warped. need turned.Dash states "low brake pressure, brake failure", but brakes seems to work great..A/C is ice cold and still R12 !!!. However, both blowers work perfect on high or defrost, but the right blower only works 50% of the time on low and medium. You still get air flow, just a bit diminished at times. We feel that the center vent is a bit weak at times. But, all in all, when it's 90 degrees outside, it still keeps you cool and comfortable. No engine leaks and beautiful service and care over the years.
Cosmetically, The outside paint is very nice with maybe a couple of small door dings, but very minor. The right front fender has a couple of small scrapes around the wheel well. Very minor. Beautiful chrome and stainless.. Right outside mirror has a cracked lens, but still fine and usable.The power antenna goes up fine, but sometimes decides to not go down all the way... sometimes it will.
Interior is very nice and well kept, with the exception of the driver's seat, which has a wear spot on the outside bolster due to getting in and out(see photo). The center console lid has a little shrinkage of the leather on the left/driver's side (see photo). The headliner is starting to fail, starting at the rear. But still holding in there. The headliner on the sunroof panel is coming loose. The car was missing the Driver's factory carpet/mat and tow kick carpet. Why? we do not know. Otherwise, beautiful garage kept interior.
Overall, a beautiful saloon with the 3.6L engine. Drives smooth and quiet as one would expect. It Does need some minor tinkering to make perfect, but its a Jaguar... I am not sure you will find one this nice anywhere. We had a new XJ40 in the early 90's and loved it. Purchased this as a vehicle that we could drive and be proud of and enjoy on weekends. Time has gotten away from us and the car sits in the garage. Look at the pictures and make us an offer.
Registration is out since September, 2016. I will smog for a CA buyer.. Comes with the original clean title from Bel Air, Ca. Please read and understand it's issues before placing an offer.
