1988 Jaguar XJ6

I have for sale a very nice low mile 1988 original Jaguar XJ6. The car has less than 80,000 actual miles on it. The only non-OEM parts that I have replaced are the fuel pump, fuel filter, and front disc brake pads. While the car is now hitting its 30 year birthday and classic status, it is starting to increase in value. This was a barn find that I have brought back to life. The body and all original paint is in great shape, with just a couple of little surface rust spots. The interior is in good shape with a couple of the seat seams pulling apart but the leather is in good shape. The wood laminate on the center console has a few surface cracks and the ash tray has been used. The car now runs and drives after I have drained the gas tank and replaced the fuel pump, changed the spark plugs, installed new battery. It still needs a few things done that I'm not sure I want too, as I'm just not a "Jag" person. Here are the particulars; all power windows work, sun roof works, electric seats work, body and paint and all original chrome in great shape, tires in good shape but probably need re-balanced, suspension is tight, alignment seems to be on track. It does need the oil changed, (I have a filter). I have replaced the front hood supports, the trunk ones still need replaced just haven't got it done. I have worked the brake system over and the front pads have been replaced, and the brake/suspension booster is also now operable. The head liner fabric is loose over the back seat area, needs to be re-glued, the radio kind of works, but the antenna is not original, I believe originally it was a power antenna and someone replaced it with a standard antenna messed with the coax cable this I'm not going to mess with. The right rear tail light has a chip off of the plastic lens, the driver and passenger front seats, the covers need to be removed and the center seat bottom seams need to be stitched back together. The heater/ A/C fan works on high but not through all of the vents, probably one of the many relays could be the issue. The fuel gauge sending unit must be gummed up a little as it is not reading correctly. I do however have 44K in the fuel tank with the gas to continue to clean the system. Once the fuel system is completely cleaned, and even the injectors possibly flushed then I would recommend changing the plugs again. I have driven the car around town and out on the highway a couple times a week and it is running good. While I think it could be driven anywhere without issue, if I were the buyer, for collectible reasons I would trailer it to its destination. I have a clean Nebraska title. I do have this listed on other sites and this listing may be removed if sold.
