Description:
1956 Jaguar Other
We are selling this Beautiful 1956 XK140 Convertible Jaguar for a Law Firm in Vermont.Mike Baker passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 46 last year. Mike purchased this Jaguar at a Barratt Jackson Auction in Scottsdale, AZ in 2011. Lot # 1326. He paid $110,000 for this car. Please see the description from the Barrett Jackson website when it was sold below. We are planning to bring this car back to a Mecum or a Barrett Jackson auction this summer or fal, but decided to try to sell this on the internet first. Before it was sold to Mr. Baker in 2011, this car was fully restored by David at Quality Restoration in Iowa. They have been doing restoration work on these types of cars for over 30 years.Mr. Baker hardly drove this car and it has been stored in a garage. It's in beautiful shape and the motor sounds great. The only issue that we see is that there is about a 2 inch section of the convertible top by the driver side door that came loose from the trim. Quality Restoration told us it's a easy fix.
We are asking $120,000. If we bring this Jaguar to an auction, we were told it should bring over $125,000 -$135,000 easy, notincludingthen the buyers fees on top of that.
If you have any other questions, would like more information or would like to view the car in Vermont, please contact us at (802) 483-6736.
