1989 Isuzu Trooper LS

We bought this Trooper new in 1989 for$19,500. That's about 40K in today's money. Wow. We've kept good care of it always giving it whatever it needed. About 40K miles ago I had the engine rebuilt--bored out with new pistons, bearings, waterpump, valve grind etc. The transmission was rebuilt at the same time. I had previously put a new starter and alternator on it. Of course, it's had a couple of radiators and many timing belts and a new head once when the original cracked around 60K. They all did that. The rims are off a newer Trooper and the tires are like new. The original rims go with it as you see in the picture. The interior needs a good scrubbing. The AC is very cold (Sankyo replacement compressor) and the heat is hot. I had the power steering sealed a while back. It starts instantly and runs well. It drives nice too aside from the occasional creak. There is a dent behind the rear bumper end and the driver's seat has been glued where the fabric ripped. The vinyl under the driver's window has a piece out of it. The neutral safety switch acts up sometimes and you have to push the shifter forward for the starter to engage. New front brakes are the last thing done to the car. The handbrake stopped working years ago. (Maybe because I never used it preferring to put the shifter into the park position.) New rear calipers are $40 a piece. Being from Georgia, the Trooper is rust free. It's never been off road except for a dirt road every once in a great while. We're selling it because we are getting old and it's a chore to climb in and out of. It deserves a good home. With proper care it will hit a million K. Of course, the Trooper is sold as is with no guarrentee implied or expressed. The reserve is very low. (I mean it) But don't ask what it is, just bid. If I've left anything out just ask me. Thanks
