Description:

1989 Isuzu Trooper

1989 Isuzu Trooper LS, 4 door, auto locking hubs 4x4, manual 5 speed, 2.8L TBI V6. Clean truck, rust free NM chassis, straight body, good interior, 239K and going strong with the 2.8L GM 60 degree V6 with throttle body injection. Not a motor known for it's awesome power, but for it's indestructibility.
-Clean paint, straight body; the black is rhino lining (unless it's powder coat)
-Wheels, wiper arms, Yakima roof rack, draw bar, front receiver, gas can holder, rear bike rack, and motorcycle carrier are all powder coated
-Hella 4000 spot light, Hella 400 fog lights; these light up the night when they're on
-5 gallon auxiliary gas can and holder
-Yakima ski racks, bike carrier, Thule bike carriers on custom built rear platform that bolts to the hitch draw bar
-Custom built motorcycle carrier with ramp (I am a welder/fabricator)
-I just put brake pads on the 4 wheel disk brakes, cleaned and greased slider pins, etc
-Tires are Falken Rocky Mountain A/T's, 50% tread left, good other brand spare
-Electric fan with switch on panel that has the light switches; you have to pay attention to the temp gauge, but I like to have control of the fan because these old Japanese SUV's seem to over cool in the winter and your heater gets cool
-4x4 works great, trans shifts great, clutch is good
-I rebuilt the TBI and did the porting and put in the spacer that helps the motor rev out better, it was a major improvement
-Newer serpentine belt
-Nice Pioneer receiver with aux and USB, stock speakers are replaced with Pioneers; not some window rattling system, just a nicely done upgrade from stock
-Power windows and power locks all work
Almost everything on the truck is working, which is kind of rare. It has cruise control and air conditioning, but doesn't blow cold air and the c/c doesn't currently work.
There's an 18" single crack across the passenger side of the windshield. It hasn't gotten longer, and NM doesn't do safety/emissions where I live, so I've left it
Seats are clean, carpet is pretty decent
I've driven it to Utah and back a few times, Arizona, Colorado, etc. I will get some pics of the interior up very soon
It will also be listed locally, so the auction may end at any time. I may be able to work out a delivery within 500 miles or so. Feel free to contact me about the truck with any questions.
As I wait for offers, I may pick away at doing the small things on the truck, and subsequently raise the asking price. As it sits right now, it's a good, solid, clean daily driver or road trip truck you can throw your dirtbike, mountain bike, skis, and gear in and have a kick ass adventure
