1979 International Scout II4x4 Overland Build – 345V8 – Auto – Freshly Restored

Ready for the ultimateOverland build? This hard-to-find piece of history is in amazing shape andready to go. You need a daily driver, just jump in and go. Need a weekendwarrior, load up the kiddos and head on out. Set up for anything you want tothrow at it. Highway, trails, mudding, sand, and more. This rare, restoredclassic is ready for any terrain.

This is an original matchingnumbers 345ci/727 Automatic V8 monster with the original Dana drivetrain. OEMglass, un-cut OEM metal, and all in great condition. Maintenance is plentifulwith stacks of documentation to back it up.

The frame has been stripped,sanded, and acid washed. Three coats of filler/etching primer, sprayed with VHTHigh Temp Satin Black, and then sealed. The whole underbody and bumpers havebeen coated with a heavy corrosive resistant sealant as well.

All the preventative maintenancehas already been completed. Upgraded Fuel system, Engine Oil and filter, Air cleaner,Power steering service, coolant flush, disc brake services, and evendifferentials. Updated alternator, battery, ignition, and wiring to meet today’sstandards are complete. Even the Balljonts, seals, bushings, and shocks havebeen replaced. New Grade 8 hardware used throughout as well.

The exterior host lazerstraight body lines, UV Tint, flush closing doors, removable hard top, andinterchangeable mirrors to use at your leisure. The updated new age wheels and tiresare not just for show. The new forged WELD Racing 20” Gloss Black wheels giveoff a hard stance and are hosting knobby 33” Off-Road M/T Radial Tires. The trimmedflares are from Bushwhacker, the original badges are painted black to match,the black housing headlights are from Octane, and the grille resembles theSuper Scout. Tough and mean looking is the best way to visualize the outside.

The interior is comfortableand plush. Carpet on the inside and even an updated no-slide dash. OEM gauges,OEM steering wheel, and a fold down OEM tumble rear bench seat. Plenty of legroom with tilt steering and sliders on the OEM brackets hosting new bucketseats. Custom door panels include marine grade perforated vinyl and restored dooraccessories. The audio is Kenwood, and the functional Air Conditioner was afactory option. Has cruise control, functional wipers, heat, and even a highidle control for those cold days.

Zero rust, freshly restored,and drives smooth as can be. Holds a straight line, no weird sounds, and driveslike it came from the factory. She sounds great with the new dual stainlesssteel Flow Master exhaust sealed in high temp Satin Black to look as good as itsounds. Top it all off, she even passes CA emissions with no issues.

Overall, this completed buildis no project, yet a blank template to take any direction you like with yourpersonal touch. Comes with BOXES of spare/new/used parts, organized STACKS ofdocumented history, and even a truck load of original parts.
