1970, 1200 series, 2 wheel drive
1970 International Harvester Travelall
First owner enjoyed this Travelall, 1200 series, as a vacation tow vehicle, has additional gas tanks, traveled the West. Wife used it as a studio to sit for hours painting desert and mountain scenes..... used it but had wonderful care through the years in the mountains/high desert of California..... very dry climate. Has none of the traditional rust associated with midwest/south/eastern parts of USA (or coastal regions of California for that matter). It may have some minor surface rust on frame, nobody cancer though. Engine rebuilt at one point to about 390 cu inch. Car was painted once by previous owner (not fancy but looks alright -- car show patrons love it) and front fender trim pieces that were removed when they repainted it years back were re-installed (former owner hadn't put back on). First owner kept ALL records on his "baby," they go with car. Second owner took T'All and has refurbished cabin with new carpeting, headliner, repainted cargo area, new tinted windshield, tires and wheels, had transmission serviced, front end aligned. It is garaged and runs fine but only now twice a year to haul "podium" and other materials one mile into Village to our Veterans Memorial for Memorial Day and Veterans Day ceremonies. It is time to move this wonderful American piece of"Iron" to someone who will care for it, enjoy it, drive it. Heater was leaking so is disconnected. Rear tail gate glass needs new motor fix.Serious inquiries but you won't be disappointed. Description written up away from vehicle, the mileage is estimate.
