This is a pretty solid old scout, and has been off the road since 1999, and is now running and driving again! The scout has had recent work done : recent parts include a new carburetor, fuel lines, brake lines, rear wheel cylinders, master cylinder, spark plugs, and battery. The truck has had dual exhaust with glass packs installed at some point. New 31 inch all terrain tires have just been installed, less than 5 miles on them. Rear axle has new pinion/carrier bearingsand races installed, along with a new seal/fluid. The truck has been repainted in a close match to the original light blue, with clear coat. Seats were just replaced, and new factorystyle carpet installed. The body is pretty nice too, no major damage that I have found. Odometer Shows under 97,000 miles, its probably accurate . Thereis a good amount of old paperwork that supports the mileage is original, but can't verify absolutely as I am not the original owner.
This scout has the 345 v-8, 4 speed manual transmission, power disc brakes, power steering, bucket seats/ rear seat, removable top, factory tinted windows, roof rack, factory chrome rally wheels, 4 wheel drive, locking front hubs, DANA 44 axles, and factoryroll bar. This scout has an 8 track radio, Not sure if it works, I have no 8 tracks to test it, speakers are probably shot anyway!
This Texas truck that has been off the road for over 20 years, so its probably in better condition and lower milesthan the majority out there. Having said that, it is still over 40 years old and may need some more adjustments/tinkering/finishing. I have driven it around the bloc, it pulls and and runs strong, rides nice, and shifts smooth but I have not driven it very far, orfast as the tags are out by over 2 decades. It is not a new Toyota, it is NOT a show truck,, it is not perfect but it is a simple beastthat is fun and easy to work on. This truck looks and sounds tough !You are bidding to OWN the scout, Not the right of first refusal! If you are the high bidder at the end of the auction, you bought it. Therefore the $500 deposit through Paypal (or zelle) is due at the end of the auction and is not refundable, you are welcome to askquestions or set up a time to come see it before the auction ends and I will do my best to accommodate you. Make sure you havethe funds and the blessing from any significant other before bidding! Be sure to note that the buyer is responsible for shipping.Texas title in hand. Thanks for looking!
