1964 International Scout 80 Military

Price: US $4,900.00 Item location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States
Description:

1964 International Harvester Scout 4x4

This Scout was originally built for the USAF according to the Line Setting Ticket I bought for it.
It has a some unique options.
The engine is a high compression 4 cylinder 152, it turns over with a key, but still needs a little work to run.
I have replaced the:
coil
plugs
points
batteryThe carb still needs work and the engine will need to be retimed. It is missing the driver´s side outside door handle
The Scout will come with the line setting ticket that I ordered for it. A portion of it is in the pictures.

Since the Scout sat for an extended amount of time, I pre-oiled the engine to prevent any damage.
It is a 4x4 with twin stick high/low transfer case and 3 speed transmission.
It has 4 new BFG AT/KO tires and a spare on the inside of the tailgate.
The top is removable and the windshield folds down.
It still has the factory rear seat. Most were removed and lost years ago.
As with most Scouts of this era, it has some floor rust and some lower door rust.
The rear quarter panels area that are typically really rusty are not too bad.
It has a custom winch bumper on the front.
The rear split bumper is to accomodate a pintle hitch.
I am only selling to fund another IH project. I have limited time and I´ve lost interest in the Scout unfortunately.
I have a clear title in my name. The year is wrong on it, but the serial number matches what is on the tag and the frame. When I bought it without a title, I was given a notarized bill of sale that had the wrong year on it. It didn´t bother me because I knew the important stuff matched. I then got it home and jumped through the hoops of getting a title for it in my name.
I am happy to assist with shipping after a deposit has been secured. It rolls easy and I can get it on the street to make it even easier. The Scout is located in Baton Rouge about 5 minutes off of I-10.
