Up for this auction is a 1971 International TravelAll that has obviously been stored/parked for some time before its resurrection. the body is in great condition with only minor surface rust and what appears to be original paint with great Patina. the hood has been changed at some point because if you look upclose the paint doesnt quite match. The body trim seems to be all there and in good condition including bumpers and grill. Rounding out the exterior is the staggered wheels and tires in 20" and 18" sizes (tires show no excessive wear or patterns). The interior has carpet in good conditio, with the seats and door panels being new or exceptionally well preserved, the dash pad is great and the metal portion of doors and interior still sports original paint with great patina. the headliner is two piece with the rear section being in awesome conditio, the front need to be replaced(it is a thin board type not fabric) fuel and amp guages work and is fitted with a trio af aftermarket guages as well..even the interior lights work and come on when door is opened and YES, the power rear window works with the original dash switch. This wagon was originally air conditioned, but will need a compressor, lines and condensor to function again, the rest of the a'c parts are still in vehicle.
The suspension has been lowered and fitted with air ride type suspension and actually drives awesome, handles nice and tigh, does the bumps very well and is effortless to drive thanks to the power steering and power brakes and tracks straight and true dow the road with no vibration.
It is powered by a rebuilt .030 over 350 chevy with chrome dress up items such as valve covers and air cleaner and fitted with performance cam kit, aluminum intake and edelbrock 4 barrel carb,with a performance holley mechanical fuel pump and regulator rounding out the fuel system. The motor starts right up and idles great with a slight rumpityrump at idle and has no knocks/noises and showes 60 psi of oil pressure.The exhaust system includes a set of header, dual exhaust and a pair of flowmaster mufflers for thad deep mean sound.The cooling system consist of a high flow polished aluminum water pump for the motor and a very large aluminum radiator with alumium shroud holding twin electric fans. it keeps cool even in traffic in this south Texas heatThe transmission is the legendary turbo hydromatic 400(th400) rebuilt with shift improver kit new converter and a lokar electric kick down set up. it shifts nice and firm as it should.
All and all this is a great cool old vehicle that gets plenty of thumbs up, is dependable enough to drive to the coast for the weekend, or a cruise spot for the night, or just the grocery store for the needs of life. i have described this the best i can if you have questions please ask them. if you want specific pictures just ask but please allow time for me to get them to you . i will not attempt to take and send pictures the last 4 hrs of auction.extra items include 1 extra rear wheel, ant the original front aux. fuel tank that still needs to be cleaned and reinstalled. otherwise in good condition
