For sale is my 1980 International Scout II with the RARE Factory installed Nissan SD33T Turbo Diesel 3.3 straight 6.
This Scout has sat for more than 25 years when I got it about 5 years ago.
I got it running and I drove it around about 100 miles. I wanted to upgrade the exhaust so I pulled the turbo off and have not done much with it since. Engine is good, and it runs GREAT, but can not run it with turbo off. Can start it, but the oil lines for the turbo shoot oil out.
Transmission is good and works great. Transfer case is good and working.
Needs work to be a daily driver.
Has a good leak with the power steering pump, the power steering does work, but it leaks pretty good.
The front locking hubs work, but missing a couple of bolts.
Steering gear box bolts are slightly loose and need to be tightened.
Top of off a Scout II Terra and is not bolted down, and has some cracks at the top by the windshield frame.
There is an electrical short somewhere that drains the battery fast, So I put in a Solenoid master switch to completely disengage the battery when not in use.
I have upgraded the wiring to the Glow Plugs and they heat up much better and faster.
Seats do not match, passenger seat is taken out. There is NO console.
Rear glass and 3rd brake light are missing.
IS NOT DRIVE-ABLE AS IT SITS. This will need more work than just the exhaust to make it a daily driver. but will run and drive on a trailer with the turbo put back in.
Has about 135700 original miles.
