1984 International Harvester 1654 Crew Cab

1984 International 1654 Crew Cab with 46k original miles and NO RUST. This International chassis was manufactured in October of 1983, it was then delivered two months later in December of 1983 to Michigan Mounting Corp of Sterling Heights, Michigan where the body was mounted. In January of 1984 it was delivered to the U.S. Government and contracted for use on a U.S. Air Force base to move various aircraft/fuel tanks/etc - hence the low miles.
Once the contract was completed, it was sold as surplus to the previous owner. The previous owner fitted a dually truck bed off of a 1984 Chevrolet onto the chassis and refinished the exterior in military grade gray exterior textured paint. The interior is all original including the above pictured government contract info/air traffic control info plates.
I purchased the truck several years ago out of Kentucky and drove it back home to NC. All systems on the truck are functional including air system/brakes, all lighting/signals, all instrumentation, etc. The truck had brand new batteries installed within the last 6 months. This truck still retains its original 6.9L International Diesel V8 mated to its original Allison 4sp Automatic Transmission. The truck makes good power and is easy to drive around town, it shifts smooth and crisp into every gear. It starts up (cold or warm/hot) with no issue, holds a solid idle and could literally be daily driven. It is very well mannered at speed and can cruise easily at 60-65+ mph. I would not hesitate to drive this truck anywhere - not to mention its payload capacity is over 6 tons.
This truck always gets a ton of attention anywhere it goes - it is MASSIVE. I've included several videos - one cold start, one walk around and one short driving video.
