1979 SCOUT II RESTORATION IN PROCESS - WHAT PERSONAL TOUCHES DO YOU WANT?

1979 International Harvester Scout

WE'RE DOING OF A LOT OF CARS RIGHT NOW but one of the fun ones is this 1979 Scout. It is a California car so we're dealing with a rust free body. It has not been molested in any way except for getting a mild lift. We began with a stock truck with factory 4 speed and CA and we're a good way along with the restoration.
We're about to get the motor back from the machine shop. When we put it back together it will have everything new. And all the parts attached to the motor will also be rebuilt like carb, starter, radiator, etc. The AC will be upgraded to RU 134a with all new hoses. Any parts needed will be NOS and if we should need them we have access to Scout experts to help us make this a great ride.
The base coat/ clear coat paint job will be done with the entire truck disassembled.It is going to be correctly finished with car color on the floors and bed and the whole interior. All suspension components and underneath will be restored. We're going to coat the whole underside with Raptor for extra protection, also the inside of the wheel wells before we apply car color. The suspension, tires and upholstery are all new. Most of the body work is completed and it won't be long before it's ready for paint. The original color is Omaha Orange with black upholstery, floor mats and detail
But we're not restoring it for us, it's for you. So if you want this Scout to be another color, that's your choice, and the decal pattern can be something you choose as well. We want to complete it with your personal touches. So you can look all over the internet to find a Scout II you like, or you can have us complete this truck the way you want it.So that's why we're advertising it now.And there won't be any miles on this one - it will be all fresh.
