1964 International Harvester Other C-1200

This 1964 International Harvester is a beautiful "Colorado Red". Its utilitarian look is gorgeous inside and out. It is an enjoyable "driver" in town or down the highway with its "armstrong" steering and manual brakes...from its step-side styling of the fenders, o the "lets get down to work" utility look of the way the spare tire is stored on the side of the bed. Yes...this truck was a work truck prior to being restored. The current owner of 33 years restored it so that it would continue to be used for his work and this is why it is equipped with work lights in the rear of the bed and additional overhead lighting in the cab. After its restoration it was retired and garaged for about the last 22 years.
Picture it! Cruisin' through the streets on a warm sunny evening, veryone you pass by gives you a smile and a thumbs up! That's just the natural reaction of people as you pass by. The sound of the throaty motor draws your attention before you even see this gorgeous truck.
The truck has been driven occasionally since April of this year. The original motor, unning gear, nd electrical systems function very very well! As you can tell by the photos, he interior was fitted with bucket seats and padded headliner. The floor is insulated with padding and overlaid with rubber matting to decrease noise. Stainless steel bed rails make a nice finished look and add a little pizazz.
I couldn't resist entering this beautiful historic "Binder" in the Battleground, ashington "Harvest Days Cruise-in" recently. It was fun to be told by the cruise-in work crew that this truck needed to "lead the cruise".
This truck could be enjoyed as a daily driver, itting in a museum, r pulled out for the occasional Sunday drive excursion. People who have seen this truck absolutely love it!
