IH SCOUT V 800

Description:
1968 International Harvester 800
This is a real find and would make a great mountain/mud rig as is. In fact, I have been driving it several times a week for a year. It would be a great candidate for a restoration as the rust is limited only to the passenger rear quarter and surface interior (very minor). The quarter panel has been repaired to stop any further rust. What few dents could be easily removed and then your on your way to the spray booth. Mechanically it needs nothing to be driven, however the usual Scout stuff is present: passenger side gas tank needs to be reconnected, the aforementioned rust (very minimal), gas gauge doesn't work, and the seats are a little wobbly. The dumb wood panel on the dash can be removed, it's original behind it (it had a compass inlaid and the toggle is the turn signal)The motor is very strong and this rig will cruise at 65 mph. New locking hubs (this has the factory rear locker), new aluminum radiator, tires are good, Please for your own sake, do your homework on IH Scouts before bidding and ask any and all questions, for example: Are first and second gear synchro'd ? NO...etc. I will try to post a video of its start up and running on YouTube. Clean title in hand. Shipping is your responsibility but I will assist in all reasonable ways. $500 PayPal deposit required at auctions close.
Here is a cold start on a warm day
