We purchased this TravelAll out of rural Montana from the family of the original owner, who had recently passed away. When we took delivery of the truck, we were pleasantly surprised by not only the condition of it, but how authentic mid-America cowboy-cool the truck is. It showed up at our facility loaded with goodies, including a lasso, snake-bite kit, axe, sledgehammer, extensive tool kit, flares, a coffee-maker, secondary heater, fire extinguisher, and a ceiling-mounted radio and fan. Handwritten service history and mileage log: January 1st, 1961: 41,590 miles January 1st, 1962: 58,600 miles January 1st, 1963: 64,000 miles November 1st, 1969: Original engine and transmission removed at 89,360 miles. Engine and transmission with 51,000 miles installed. January 1st, 1972: 95,070 (on odometer/body) April 15th, 1972: Rebuilt engine at 95,440 miles February 1st, 1973: 98,500 miles October 20th, 1977: 112,130 miles October 10th, 1984: 123,674 miles November 1st, 1984: Ring and valve job at 124,180 miles May 2004: Overhauled engine and re-installed at 139,330 miles. Body repaired and painted, top - white foam, bottom - raisin tan May 2014: Hubcaps re-chromed Exterior: We love the two-tone Sea Foam / Raisin Tan paint scheme. It's an eye-catching truck, especially with the Z-pattern chrome side trim and 3-door layout, and the somewhat odd colorway suits the truck very nicely. Paint was done in 2004, and presents very well. It wasn't done to a show-level standard, as there is some minor over-spray on the creases of the weatherstripping, but presents well nonetheless. Paint has a nice shine to it, and does not show much of any blemishes really, as the truck has only seen about 300 miles of road use since being painted and has been garage-kept. The body is in excellent shape; there is absolutely no rust in any of the body panels. No bubbles, no through rust. Even at the lowest points of the corners and inside the fenders. This car has been in Montana, an extremely dry state, since new and it shows. There are a couple very light door dings on the driver's side. Glass is all clear and crack-free. Panel fitment is great, and all doors/panels open and close without a fuss. Weatherstripping is in good shape. Tires have lots of tread, but are older so we'd recommend replacement before much highway mileage is added. Interior: The original owner really went all out in making this a do-anything truck. Not only was it loaded with all the aforementioned gear, gauges were added for oil pressure, amps, miles per gallon, and altitude. There is a secondary heater installed on the driver's side under the dash, a fan and radio mounted on the ceiling, as well as a fire extinguisher mounted under the passenger dash. The front bench seat wears a canvas seat cover, as the bottom is fairly worn. The rear and third row seats are original and not covered. Front floors are carpeted, while the rest of the interior has rubber-lined floors. Underneath / Underhood: The underbody is in excellent shape. There is no rust and no damage. The 264cid Inline-6 and Borg Warner 4spd manual are not original, and were swapped in in 1969 in place of the original 264cid Inline-6 and automatic transmission. The truck runs and drives very well. It starts right up first turn, idles cool and steady, tracks and brakes straight, and does not hesitate under acceleration. Floor-mounted 4spd manual transmission shifts smoothly. Since purchasing the truck, we have replaced the spark plugs, inspected the brakes and replaced the front wheel cylinders, tended to a couple vacuum leaks, and flushed fluids. The previous owner pulled and rebuilt the motor in 2004, when the truck was being painted, and the truck has only seen about 300 miles since, as the owner was elderly and his health began to decline shortly after finishing the rebuild. We have been taking the truck out for lunch runs and errands around town routinely and it's an absolute blast to drive and has tremendous crowd appeal.
