LOW MILE, ORIGINAL TRUCK
1957 IH A120 Pickup Truck. Truck is registered as a 1958 but is Probably a 1957 based on Model and vin.
1957 was the Golden Anniversary Model Year for International. This truck has the gold emblem on the hood ornament and is designated Model A120 (A is for anniversary).
This is a local truck that was a one owner truck before me. It was sold new in Chico CA and spent most of its life there. It was last on the road in 1974 regularly. It sat since then until this past year.
The truck has the larger HP engine available this year. It is the Black Diamond 264. It is the original motor to the truck and the truck has 55,035 ORIGINAL MILES.
It fires right up and ideas smooth. It runs very good. The truck was recently re commissioned.
This included going thru the brakes, New master cylinder. (has and original vacuum brake booster).
Radiator flushed. new water pump
New battery
New points, coil, cap, wires
New belts and hoses.
Boiled and dipped gas Tank
New fuel pump
New exhaust with receipt from Midas Muffler ($400)
5 Brand new Hercules tires ($1200)
The truck does smoke on start up and heavy throttle up hills. I believe it is most likely valve guides.
The windshield is chip and crack free. All glass is good except door flat glass is cracked.
The body is very nice as you will see in photos. The truck ddi sit with windows part way down and floors got rust. Pans will need replaced. The rest of the body is amazing and all original paint. The bed is probably one of the best originals in existence.
It has a Dealer added Braden Winch. It is dated 1957 serial number is very low. It is PTO driven and works.
Clutch is good.
Has era correct trailer brakes.
Fun to drive and will climb ANYTHING!
Low gear is lower than my NAPCO Chevy of the same era.
I have signed California Title from the estate of the original owner along with corresponding paperwork from the estate. I also have registrations dating back to 1965.
I can hold the truck for 30 days while transportation arrangements are made.
I can ship to port of Los Angeles/ Long Beach for $350 and Oakland / Richmond for $250.
