1977 International Scout II
Starts, Runs, and Drives.
Clear Title
Highly Optioned Example, Good Restoration Candidate.
One owner from 1977 - 2017 until I purchased it from the original owner's representative/neighbor.
Comes with receipts totaling thousands of dollars, dating back about 20 years.
Has Body Rust, Transmission Leak, Soft Brake Pedal, Steering Has a Vague Feel, and the Exhaust has a Noticeable Rumble. I have no doubt that there are plenty of things that would need attention if you were to restore it or drive it to work every day, these are just the ones that come to mind initially. A/C system appears to be complete does not blow cold. This Scout is equipped with Cruise Control, but I don't know if it works. Let's assume that it does not. Has Tilt Wheel, Power Brakes, Power Steering. Doors need alignment, especially the right side door. The hard top is completely removable from the windshield back. Has a fresh oil change.
The Scout Tent is included with this sale, and will not be sold separately.
Before anyone asks whether they can drive it home to Texas or Canada or Hawaii or any other location, I can only tell you that I am not a mechanic, nor can I predict how long it can be driven before needing maintenance or mechanical attention. Personally, I think it is a bad idea to take any unfamiliar used vehicle on a road trip before sorting it out mechanically. My recommendation would be to hire a transport company or rent a car trailer from U-Haul. Furthermore, this is a 40-year-old Scout. I think it would be very tedious to drive one of these on the interstate for any length of time, even if it was new.
I will not ship this vehicle myself or make shipping arrangements for the winning bidder. I will however meet your shipper at my home and hand over the keys and title after the truck has been paid for in full. Money Orders or Cashiers Checks or Personal Checks will not be accepted as payment. $500 deposit via PayPal due within 24 hours of end of auction. Balance to be paid in Cash or by PayPal.
