1973 International Harvester Scout Scout II

1973 International Scout, Super clean modifed 4x4, trail or cruise nights. Very fun Rig! Body off restored and never abused since. Mainly used around town but built to handle a lot.

Body and Paint

Straight rust free body with nice paint, 7-8 year old nicer yellow. Has a few touch ups and somestaining on drivers doorbuthas great shine andstill shows very well. Body is excellent, floors have been modified for equipment and are very nice. Underbody is a rhino line style material. Dry western Scout.

Chassis, Suspension and Brakes

Straight clean chassis refinished during restoration. Appears no rust or repairs. Has 2 inch body lift 1-2 inch shackle and some spring. 5-6 inch total. 35 12.5 15 BFG's on 8 inch AR wheels. Wheels are new. Has power steering and power drum brakes. Stops and steers nice, does hold straight on the road and no binding or tire rub on tight turns. Articulates very well.

Powertrain

Rebuilt 345 V8, Mild cam, headers and 4bbl carb upgrade. Great engine, starts easy and every time. No smoke, knocks etc. New TCI 727 3 spd auto trans mated to a dana 20 T case. Has trans cooler and switched fan built in floor to keep it cool on the crawl. Dana 44 rear, Dana 30 front, no lockers. Not sure of gear ratio but it has no problem with acceleration. It has power.

Has custom fuel cell with electric pump. Factory style Radiator with clutch fan, shroud and additional switched electric fan. Runs very cool.

No leaks in drivetrain.

Interior and Misc

Interior is redone with custom gauge panel, water resistant bucket seats front, Corbeau race seats in the rear. Full roll cage thats bolted in. Center console. Carpet in rear. Shows very well.

Custom bumpers with Vintage Warn Winch. Power is not currently hooked to winch so don't know if it works. Looks clean.

Has 2 tops, 2 yr old Softopper Top and Original hardtop.

No electrical issues or draws.

Excellent condition Scout that looks runs and drives great.

Works for Trails, Beach or a Car Show. Could even be a daily if your not a highway commuter.

Scouts are climbing fast on the collector scale as with Bronco's, Landcruisers and should be an excellent long term investment.
