Description:
1961 International Harvester Other
This is an Arizona Desert find. This beauty was found in NE Arizona where it was parked in 1973, and then forgotten about until I rescued it. It started out it's life as a US Government, Department Of The Interior, Bureau Of Indian Affairs vehicle in Arizona. Then in 1973 it was parked at an abandoned gas station on Route 66 where it sat until the summer of 2015 when I spotted it. I had the intentions of restoring it, but found that I just don't have the time to do it raising 2 young grandchildren.Since it is truly an Arizona vehicle, it is free of cancer, and has surface rust adding to the natural patina of it. The grill is in good condition, and was only set on the front of the truck for pictures, as I had removed it to keep it from getting stolen. The glass is flat so it will be easy to have a new windshield cut. It is missing the rear door handle, carburetor, front leaf springs, the gauge cluster, radiator, and the letter R off of the front. It is very straight for a 55 year old truck and would make a great candidate for a unique food truck, hot rod, advertising, or rat rod.
