Description:

1925 International Harvester S-24

1926 International Harvester 1 1/4 ton truck. with a functioning hoist. This truck has the original T4XF carb that I have rebuilt. The motor runs great and the transmission runs through the gears with ease (just removed the transmission and cleaned the clutch) lots of clutch surface left. It is a 6 volt system, starter works or hand crank. The frame has the original paint, the wood is decayed. The fenders have the normal bruises from time and a few spots that were welded in the day, some surface rust on the undersides of the fenders and running boards. I removed the rotten grain box and have all the hardware if someone would like to bring it back to original or I have the hard ware for the stake side from my other1926 truck. The glass is in the cab (one of thedoor glass is cracked), the window regulators are there in a box along with the hood emblems, the door latches (one is original and the other one is from a newer year). I have rebuilt and installed the correct cowl lights; (the head light bar is still on the truck but does not go with it). The windshield is cracked; the steel wheels are solid but needs new rubber. Included is a speedometer and amp gauge (Speedo needs new glass, original Speedo but not from this truck), ignition switch that needs to be rebuilt. This truck is registered in the province of Ontario Canada. Please ask questions and review the photos before bidding. The truck runs so it will drive right up onto your float with ease.

A few notes to add on the description:

The brakes are good, the emergency brake works. All the grease and grime for the past 90 years has been removed. The distributor cap, rotor and points are all good, new plugs and wires, distributor moves freely and the spark retarder is free. The radiator does not leak, but the joints in the hoses and the little gaskets do. The oil is clean and the oil pan is solid and rust free. New starter that works well. The gas tank is solid and clean. New rust free hood that is. The steering is solid. The suspension is good and the frame is solid and has the original paint and the Hamilton Built sticker still on the sides. The original Lycoming engine that starts immediately and purrs like a kitten. I have the original S-24 identification plate and the engine plate; I have had new plates made for display. I have made a new wood steering wheel to replace the Ford wheel that is currently on the truck. This truck is from Saskatchewan where they don’t use salt, the steel is in immaculate condition.

Like I had mentioned above, I have a speedometer, amp gauge and ignition switch for the dash (they were missing when I purchased this truck in 2014).
