1978 International Harvester 1700 4x4 dump/plow truck Loadstar 1700

The Beast! I am the 2nd owner, the 1st owner garage kept this truck till 2yrs ago, so there is no rust. It's double framed and solid as a rock. I ended up doing a lot of work to her to bring her up to good spec. The motor is 345 2v gas, v strong, no leaks and doesn't burn oil, v tight. I'll try to list everything as best I can, starting at the front. New radiator, thermostat, heater core and blower motor take care of heating and cooling. The motor runs at 175deg cruising and 180-190 working.(plowing). New valve cover gaskets cured a little drrip and new plus wires cap and rotor have it starting and running great. The PTO and it's driveshaft was replaced due to u-joint failure. The dump pump took a hit when the PTO failed and it will need to be rebuilt, garage estimate is $400. It works sporadically but only at high pto rpm so I don't mess with it, just haven't had time to fix it. New Clutch and the trans was rebuilt w/ new synchros and seals. The transfer case is v. good and also got new seals. New master cylinder and new hydraboost. 4 new rear wheel cylinders. The brake shoes have lots of meat fr and rear. The steer tires are brand new, the drive tires are approx 75%. The driveshafts are true and well greased and the steering bushings were replaced. I installed a sun tach II to keep an eye on things. There is a 9' plow, works great but will need a new cutting edge. This truck runs and works great, 345 gas w/ 5spd and 4x4. Above 30deg once to the floor and crank it no gas and she starts. Below 30deg it's 2x to the floor and crank w/no gas and she starts, everytime. 5-10 min warm up and you're good to go. 4x4 works great w/ manual locking hubs. This truck is in great shape and ready to work for many yaers to come, I hate to see her go but my life situation is changing and she needs to go to someone that needs a really good truck to make $$.
