1959 International Harvester Metro A-120

The International Harvester A120 Metro Step Van had a production run that spanned 37 years from 1938-1975 and was originally designed by Raymond Loewy, est known for his work with Studebaker and the high-profile 1950s Coca-Cola bottle redesign of the original Root Glass Company shape.

The 2 ½ year professional frame-off restoration of thisInternational Harvester A120 Metro Step Van was completed in 2007 and has been well-maintained since and remains in exceptional show quality condition. A multiple award winning example, t was the recipient of a “Best of Show” award as well as “Best Interior,” “Best use of Plating,” and “A Century of Excellence Award” at the 100th Anniversary – 18th Annual International Harvester and Light Truck Nationals.

Finished in a period correct two-tone white over baby blue that is nicely complemented by a matching interior. Power comes by way of an inline six-cylinder engine that is mated to a three-speed manual transmission. The interior has been set-up to operate as an ice cream truck with a Nelson Manufacturing cold plate freezer and air conditioner. It also comes equipped with base cabinets, glass serving window, nd awning. Chrome diamond-plate is prudently utilized and the majority of the trucks ceiling is skinned with stainless steel.Power to the freezer, ome light, nd air conditioner is managed by a circuit breaker panel located beneath the cabinets.
